This Hummel figurine features an adorable boy and girl heading to the market. Looking off to the left, something has caught their eye. Could it something for mother? First designed by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1936, it was known as "Brother and Sister."
The 49/I (6.25 inch) size was out of production for at least 20 years and reinstated in the early 1980s, only to be withdrawn 1984. In January of 1999 the 49/0 (5.25 inch) size was also withdrawn from production. The smallest size at 4 inches is the only one still in production today. The 49/3/0 is routinely produced with no bottle in the basket.
